Lovely mini-break.

Filed in General

Spur of the moment getaway booked Thursday night found us in Daylesford this weekend- aaah bliss, I love Daylesford and always feel so realxed when we’re there. I love the little miner’s cottages, the Mill Markets, the Lavender Farm, the massages, the food at The Farmer’s Arms and the coffee at Frangos & Frangos.

This is what I had in mind for Saturday afternoon (pristine Frankie mag and a latte)…

What actually happened was that my coffee went cold and I played kick to kick with an Aussie Rules football (and because I’m not co-ordinated or sporty, spent half the time lowering Pumpkin over the edge of the porch into the bushes to retrieve it).

Ate and drank too much in the evening and sat in front of an open fire, bliss!

Here are some cool things I photographed on the weekend:

It was all over a bit too quick, really.

Sigh, lovely Daylsford- it’s been a while since I’ve had a meal at the Farmers Arms. Can you recommend a child-friendly place to stay (for one Bug)?

Hi there! We’ve been a few times, but the place we really loved was a small 2 bedroom Miner’s cottage for holiday let through Daylesford Getaways http://www.dayget.com.au called Hart’s Lane House. Very stylishly decorated inside!

What awesome graffiti. oh yeah, I love Daylesford. I could spend hours in the Mill Markets. The Geelong one is fun, too. I hanker for a Daylesford run-away, now.
